While almost everyone agrees that children need high quality educational experiences, only a small fraction (7%) of our nation’s preschool centers pursue formal accreditation.  Perry Nursery School of Ann Arbor is fortunate to be among the few that have “gone the extra mile” to earn and maintain the highly regarded NAEYC seal of approval.

Over the course of 20 years, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has worked with childcare centers and preschools, like Perry, to develop and implement nationally recognized standards to ensure the safety and well-being of children.  In order to earn its accreditation, Perry Nursery was required to pass an intensive audit that measured every aspect of our program from teacher credentials, to management, to parent involvement and much more. NAEYC requires its members to achieve no less than 80% of 400 independent, quality-driven criteria.

NAEYC accreditation offers the assurance that a certified center is committed and capable of addressing the cognitive, emotional, physical, social and language development needs of every child enrolled in its care.
